Global demand for all forms of energy is expected to increase by 54 per cent over the next twenty years, according to forecasts from the US Energy Information Administration.Another long-term forecast from the EIA puts world electricity demand in 2025 at nearly twice what it is now.
Fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas are the source of the majority of the world’s energy. They release energy during burning, but also simultaneously release carbon dioxide into the air. These conventional energy resources are finite and the emissions harmful to the environment, hence the growing urgency to develop renewable energy sources, such as wind, water, biomass, wood, geothermal, photovoltaic and sunlight.
Energy from the sun that reaches the surface of the earth is 6 000 times the amount of energy needed on earth a day. Solar energy has been used by humans to meet some of their energy needs since ancient times, but with growing global concern over environmental issues, it is becoming increasingly prevalent.
Solar power is increasingly becoming a viable alternative to fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas and is predominarly used for heating water and generating electricity.
From enormous sports stadiums and towering skyscrapers to isolated farmhouses and ordinary suburban households, solar power is increasingly becoming the cost-effective energy solution of choice. For eg, the newly finished 55 000 seater stadium in Taiwan is the world’s first stadium to use solar energy technology to produce power. The enormous nineteen-hectare structure was built for the 2009 World Games, and will produce enough power for its 3 300 lights and two huge television screens from nearly nine thousand solar panels on the stadium roof.
That’s solar power on a giant scale. For domestic energy needs on a much smaller scale however, solar power can also provide a cost-effective, low maintenance option.
According to Perth solar power specialists, Solar My World, homeowners will add value to their properties, make a positive contribution to the environment and reduce their power bills by installing solar panels on their properties. Two solar power systems, grid connect and off-grid, are available for property owners in Perth.
A grid connect system will supply solar power to the household via an inverter, and is generally used in more densely populated areas. If the system provides more energy than the property requires, the surplus can be diverted and ‘sold’ to the electricity grid.A standalone system uses a battery bank to store energy until required. This is used mainly in more remote areas where there is little or no access to conventional power supplies.
Solar power systems are versatile and can be designed for both AC and DC and can always be expanded to meet changing needs.
Energy is the largest single contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, and there is a growing call for people to reduce their C02 emissions and protect the environment. As discussed earlier in this article, Taiwan’s new stadium is anticipated to reduce CO2 emissions by 660 tons a year by producing power from its solar panels. We have the power to save the world if we switch to solar power in our homes.

In this type of economic environment people are trying everything to save money.People are choosing not to spend as much money when they are out. They don’t spend on entertainment as much. They don’t spend their money as freely as they used to.To put it another way, everyone is making an effort to save money wherever they can. One of those ways people are looking to save is with their electric bill. In a time when every dollar counts a few dollars saved in energy can mean a lot.

One way a lot of people have found to save money is by going with solar energy in their homes. Most of the time this is quite expensive to have done. But people have been very resourceful and have found many ways to get cheap solar panels for their solar energy system. Typically the cost of having an electrician build it and install it can run into tens of thousands of dollars. But by going out and finding cheap systems this will save them some money as well.

Another way they have chosen to go is intstead of buying some solar panels they have chosen to learn how to build a solar panel themselves. It is not as difficult as it seems. Also there are many instructions out there that can teach them how to do it.By going and doing it by themselves this will save thousands of dollars.

Now everybody may not be the DIY solar panels maker but these guides are so good you could even have someone build it for you.Once more doing this would save a lot of money compared to buying some pre made solar panels.

Doesn’t matter which way you go you will save energy and money both ways.So if you choose to find some solar panels that aren’t that expensive and getting it installed yourself that will be a lot of savings.Or if you make the choice of building it yourself, you are going to be saving quite a bit of money. So in a time when you need to save money, this is a good way to go.

It seems solar energy is becoming the new thing these days, and our sun being our most leading source of renewable energy. Numerous amounts of people all over the world are looking more at using solar energy because of the awareness of global warming. how can we close our eyes to whats available to us today, when we have the chance to power our homes entirely off the grid with free clean energy, its certainly clarifies why solar powered homes are so common today.

For another fantastic article, I would highly recommend. Check out: Cost Of Solar Energy

There is a good chance in the future that our non-renewable sources of energy will be depleted, using solar energy is certainly a very healthy way of producing our own energy and a much better way of caring for our environment.

Effects and Usage of Solar Energy In The Future

Solar energy in the future will take over our present sources of energy and houses especially will be designed exclusively to run off solar energy.

There are many uses around the home for solar power, such as cooking, heating our water and drying our clothes. Solar powered vehicles are even being used on the roads now.

Huge industries will possibly be powered by solar energy in the future, because of these industries requiring so much power and energy the use of coal is necessary to help meet their energy needs. . It is all too certain that one day in the future all current energy grids will eventually be replaced by solar energy systems.

Solar Energy And Space

Enormous quantities of fuel are required to function a space shuttle. The energy from the sun will totally control this sector in the future also.

Transportation And Solar Energy

One day oil will be worn out, We can also expect transportation soon to be controlled by solar power. Like I have already pointed out earlier, solar powered vehicles are already on the roads. We have about 6 solar powered vehicles here where I reside being used on the roads.

Click here to check out some awesome articles especially for those people exploring the possibilities of generating their own energy to power their homes. see: Solar Power Systems

Solar energy experts are predicting by the year 2020 solar energy systems will be put into action, opening numerous possibilities for solar energy in the future. Much more people are appreciating the importance of solar energy and starting to prepare themselves for the change. We are becoming more aware of the possibility that our
other resources will one day run out. So the quicker we can start using solar energy systems to generate power the better.

Controlling Pollution

A great factor about solar power is its clean, unlike other sources of energy. The pollution rate is already quite disturbing. Our beautiful planet we all reside on is little by little being destroyed, if we could all consider using solar or wind energy then we could certainly make a difference in our health and the future of our planet.

We could start by researching solar energy systems and the installation process. A simple way of generating power to your home is with solar panels and the installation is quite a simple process. There are many people today building their own solar
panels, with the right instructions and materials there is no reason why anyone could’t do this. At the end of the day, our future will be committed to renewable sources of energy and your best possible choice is solar energy.

If you enjoyed reading this article, I can also give you a great head start. I suggest you that you check out here: Build Your Own Solar Panels

The range of solar lights has grown to the stage when you can create your touch of style. When designing the landscape for your garden and home, it is important to choose the right style for yourself. Below are the different types of styles:

Style 1: Fun and Creative

Fun and Creative Style is usually created by brilliant striking colours such as orange and easily to carry around without plugging into soil or tied to another object. One great item that fits this style is Solar Pot of various patterns on them such as bubbles and flowers. Simply place them on a table or any other flat platform like a normal flower pots and let sunlight shines on them. You can add few stalk of floral item in the centre of the pot to further beautify. At night, it glows in the dark, perfect for a candlelight dinner, without polluting the air and table with wax like real candles.

Style 2: Nature Blending

If you are a nature-lover, you will love nature blending style. The main body of the solar lights are made of stone or synthetic plastic flowers/insects (like butterflies). No matter for outdoor or indoor, image of the stone plays an important role in bringing our mind back to the nature and fills the surrounding with a sense of tranquility. Solar Flower/Insect LED String Light also have the same effect as stone. Best place for them is on the patio, wall or fence. Add a small water fountain using Solar water pump to bring the natural water flowing sound to your garden and home. I love to have all these to complete my “Nature Blending” home.

Style 3: Poised and Shiny

Poised and shiny style really raises the level of your market value and projects an impression of a high profile apartment. With the perfectly polished stainless steel body and sometimes curvy body, it is no wonder it made people view your landscape with envy. If you want your office or home looked poised, plant them along the walkway that has bright sunlight to impress your visitor.

Style 4: Enchanting

Bring back the memory of an enchanted gardens or labyrinth from fantasy stories and movie into your own gardens with enchanting style. Place some enchanted creatures like dwarf using Solar Garden Gnomes and angels using Fairy Solar Lights around your gardens to instill a sense of mystic. Other wonders that you can use to enchant is Lighthouse Solar Lights and Rome Solar Lights, both stands tall between 1 – 2 metres. These creates a sense of “off the beaten track” type of feeling.

Decide on your style for different corner of your house and garden. Each of the design can give a unique impression. Do your own review by looking for designs on the web or newspaper.

In this bad economic times, a lot of people are still in searchh of saving money. One of the overlooked ways is to go and conserve energy. Not only will this save you some money, but it also will help in saving the environment. In this article we are going to learn of a great way to save a lot of money in energy bills.

The most effective way to more savings in your energy bill is to have a complete solar energy installed onto your home. It isn’t as hard to do as it sounds. All that it will take is for you to go and have solar panels installed onto your house. When people take a closer look at this they start to see that it will be quite a bit of a cost to use solar panels. So they go looking for cheap solar panels.

Now their search might be able to help them locate some, they really need to start looking into building a solar energy system for themselves. There are plenty of manuals that can teach them how to do a diy solar panels. Most of them are written well enough that all you have to do is follow step by step.If you have it done in this way, your savings will be in the thousands of dollars. So even if you didn’t want to do it yourself, you could hire someone to do it.it the cost will be less than if they went with a solar contractor or an electrician.

It doesn’t matter if you have someone install it yourself or if you learn how to build a solar panel. As long as you change your energy into a solar energy system you will save money.

But you will not only be able to save some money yourself you are also helping out with the environment.Being able to use solar energy cuts out the use of energy types that are more toxic. You will be using clean natural energy. Who knows you might be able to set a good example and more people will follow your footsteps.

When you use the sun’s energy to harness electricity with solar power systems for your home, it can be a great way to reduce your huge monthly electrical bills by over 80% as well as allowing you to protect the environment.

Solar energy is renewable, and converting it, releases no toxic emissions into our environment at all. In other words, you are using the earth for energy and this source of energy has already been researched and studied by scientist for many years.

Solar energy is completely free. The sun provides us with a natural source of energy that is free to us, so why not make good use if it?

You will see tremendous benefits when you start to implement your very own solar power systems to power your home appliances. You will soon see your electrical bills reduced by at least 80% the moment you put your solar power systems to use, not to mention that this is a renewable and sustainable source of energy throughout its lifespan. The best part is the cost does not fluctuate.

You will no longer be at the mercy of rising energy prices. You can now be free from nonrenewable energy sources. You have the freedom to own and use your very own solar power systems as you see fit and not worry about the disrupting power outages for a long time to come.

Apart from this, you are doing your part against global warming, reducing your carbon footprint and even may be eligible for green energy tax credits. In fact, in some countries such as America, you can receive rebates, grant money, and tax reductions through implementing solar energy solutions in your home or business. It is also possible to "sell back" power into the grid. Imagine that, you receive money from utility companies!

Many people are searching for effective ways to save money on their electrical bills and one way is to build their own solar power systems. DIY solar panels are becoming popular and the good thing about solar power is that it is one of the most readily available energy sources known to man today.

Most solar power systems can be built with easier obtainable materials that can be found at any local hardware store. With today's technology and materials costing lesser, there is an increasing demand for information on how to build solar power systems for home uses.

So, if you are ready to start slashing your electrical bills by at least half, start searching for home solar power system guides now.

If you are cost or environmentally-conscious, the idea of learning how to build a solar panel for your house helps to reduce your electrical bills significantly by powering appliances in your home. No matter what reason you’ve got in mind to make a solar panel, we’ve got some useful advice for you to get going in the right direction.

If you are concerned about the high costs of solar panels offered by manufacturers, the alternative shortcut is to Do-It-Yourself. It can be achieved.

Basically, home solar power systems gather energy from the light that the sun casts on our planet through solar cells. These cells channel the energy into deep cycle batteries where we store it until we need it. The job of the solar panel is to keep the batteries charged.

The components required for building your own solar panels are very affordable and most can be found at your local hardware store.

Learning how to build a solar panel will save thousands of dollars. In addition, you can enjoy a long term benefit of saving hundreds every month on electrical bills.

The materials you need include:

• Solar Cells
• Wire crimping tool
• Wire cutters
One sheet of plywood
• Some Copper wires
• Screwdriver
• Cobalt steel jobbers’ twist drill bit, heavy duty, wire gauge size 26, 3″ L, 1c” L flute
• Machine screw size high-speed steel hand tap taper, 10-24, H3 pitch diameter, 4 flute
• 7/32 drill bit
• One plastic sheet cutter
• Reamer
• Pliers
• Hacksaw
• One Solder, 60/40 or silver
• One Soldering iron, or soldering station
• A few sheets of glass
• Drill
• Do-It-Yourself installation manual

A solar panel will probably take only a weekend worth of time to build if all procedures are planned properly. Spend some time researching on where to find inexpensive solar cells, draw blueprints for construction and find out how much power you will need to generate. In fact, solar cells can be found online in eBay.

The ideal location to place an array of panels is on the south incline of your house, if that is not an option any spot that gets sunlight most of the day will do. The solar panels will only start making electricity when they are exposed to sunlight.

The knowledge acquired when you discover how to build a solar panel is priceless as electricity costs are on a constant uptrend. With the skills of generating electricity at home, you will be able to cut all these expenses to zero with ease.

When compared to commercially available solar panels which can sometimes cost thousands of dollars, you can save a considerable amount by building your own. Typically you should be able to do this for under $200 or so depending upon the quality of the components you buy. Some of the materials can be easily found at your local hardware store. However, some of the items are easier find as compared to the rest, so if you encounter any problems, be sure to search online for them as well. That said, the short list of components you will need to make a small solar panel are a high quality deep cycle battery, an electricity inverter, solar cells, and an electrical charge controller.

While it may seem tempting to do so, it probably isn’t realistic to expect that you are going to be able to build a solar panel sufficient to supply power to your entire home. A better way of looking at the construction is to think of the solar panel as something that will help to reduce your overall electrical bills by hooking it up to small devices like your computer, toaster, TV, refrigerator, etc. As an added bonus, by keeping your solar panel a modest size, you can take it with you almost anywhere.

Lastly, you’ll need to make sure that the guides you are using to build your solar panels are tested and proven. This may mean that you have to pay for them, however in the long run, the cost to go back and do over what never should have been done in the first place will always be higher, so plan ahead.

If you decide to use solar panels to generate solar power there are many different ways to harnesss the suns energy. Garden lights that line a path or light a particular part of the yard are commonly used and readily available and affordable today. Solar covers for pools have become popular, heating the pools water while the sun is out. The most common solar installation are the large solar panel/units on the roof of the house, this can supply heating and electricity for the whole home.

All the new and old solar homes are enjoying the benefits whether it is financial or environmental. Solar panels converting the suns rays into electricty does not pollute the earth atmosphere and is renewable as song as the sun continues to sshine.

Solar panels require little maintenance and will quickly pay for themselves with the savings gained from not paying high electricity bills. Additionally there are federal bonuses and refunds that can be gained to assist you in affording the initial installation. As far as the installation itself, it is simple and much of the work can be done your self cutting the cost of installation even further.

Solar power for homes can be as complex or as simple as you desire and your imagination and finances allow. Solar systems can be built up on over time to create a stronger and more powerful solar energy systems. You may decide to start by using solar garden and a solar pool cover, you may then decide to go for solar panels for your home and wind power may be the next step.

You can make such a difference to our planet by being green, you will not be short of ideas.

Take a look at the many web sites which offer home energy reviews.

It is important to be environmentally friendly as the planet is being destroyed every day. It may be you decide to use solar power, maybe wind power, recycling… all these environmentally friendly projects will help protect our planet.
